Garden Birds Watercolour Painting, Original Fine Art
For a while I have admired collage style paintings of garden birds so I finally decided to design my own. The painting showcases five lovely British species, the Robin, Wren, Blue Tit, Goldfinch and Goldcrest. Each bird was a joy to paint and putting them together like this was great fun. I feel the painting shows each bird off and you get a little insight into its character. The robin with a little turn of the head and the wren flitting about down low looking for insects. Then there is the bold and brave little birds the blue tit and the goldcrest. Finally the goldfinch feeding on the sap of a bud. I actually filmed this whole project as a video tutorial, these five little birds are poised on the edge of stardom!
Painting size 27.2cm x 18.7cm or 10.7” x 7.4”
Paper size 31cm x 23cm or 12.2” x 9.1”
Please note that frames and mounts are for illustration purposes only and are not included.
Packaging & Materials
I have used an excellent quality watercolour paper and the finest of brushes to produce the tiny details which bring this painting to life.
The painting will be carefully wrapped in cellophane and protected with additional packing. Likewise I aim for my originals to arrive with you in the same condition that they left me. I use the Royal Mail’s ‘Signed for Next Day’ or ‘International Tracked’ service.
A bit about me!
I love to capture the life within my paintings and also enjoy working with the watercolour medium to create fine detail. I am continually adding to my portfolio and draw inspiration from amazing photographers and also the stunning North Devon environment.
