Description
Botanical Watercolour Original Painting of Horse Chestnut Buds
Horse Chestnut trees are a familiar sight in the British countryside. Indeed there aren’t many people who don’t remember collecting conkers at one time or another! The buds begin to form in the late autumn and are incredibly sticky. This sticky substance holds everything together and thereby enables the huge buds to develop and expand without popping open. As far as wildlife is concerned they fulfil many roles. For example the spikes of flowers provide nectar for many insects some of which feed on the leaves too. In addition, whilst we as children liked to play with the conkers many animals actually eat them.

Packaging & Materials
I have used an excellent quality watercolour paper and the finest of brushes to produce the tiny details which bring this painting to life.
The painting will be carefully wrapped in cellophane and protected with additional packing. Likewise I aim for my originals to arrive with you in the same condition that they left me. I use the Royal Mail’s ‘Signed for Next Day’ or ‘International Tracked’ service.
