Cat’s Eye – LIVE Paint Along With Paul
The live paint-along study of a Cat’s Eye was something I decided to have a go at. Something a bit different to offer everyone, a bit of fun and a bit of a personal challenge. As the session went really well maybe I will do more….let me know whether you think this would be a good idea.
The study will teach you all about wet-in-wet washes and also how to apply detail. I will show you how to create highlights within the eye and ways of using watercolour white. Finally, we will paint a suggestion of detailed fur, this will give the eye a setting and will make it look more life-like and realistic.
- Do let me know how you got on and please send in your paintings for the student’s gallery. Enjoy!
Paul 🙂
The live paint-along was originally streamed on YouTube.
Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube Channel and click the little bell 🔔 icon so you receive notifications too. 😉
I would love to see your finished painting and share it within the student gallery.
And I would be very interested to know the difficulty rating you would give this project.
I do hope you have enjoyed this tutorial. Until the next time, keep those brushes wet! Paul
