Wood Duck Duckling

Description

The wood duck is also known as the Carolina Duck and is a perching duck found in North America. The adult male is a very colourful bird – with vivid green and purple head plumage. The female will make her nest in a natural tree cavity or man made box, which she will line with down feathers from her belly. This little duckling’s first voyage into the outside world involves a leap of faith from the tree!

I have used the finest brushes to produce the tiny details which bring this painting to life.
The painting will be carefully wrapped in cellophane and protected with additional packing. I aim for my originals to arrive with you in the same condition that they left me. I use the Royal Mail’s ‘Signed for Next Day’ or ‘International Tracked’ service.
