Description
Fungi come in all shapes and sizes, there are estimated to be more than 15,000 species in the UK, and 200,000 in the world. They are not animals or plants, but have their own entire kingdom, some are even known to glow in the dark! The largest known organism is a type of honey fungus, which covers over 2300 acres of Oregon Forest. They are part of nature’s mystery, diversity and beauty, and humans have been using them for over 5000 years.

A bit about me:
I am a full time professional artist based in North Devon in the United Kingdom. Specialising in wildlife – animals, birds, insects and botanical studies, I love to capture the life within my paintings. I very much enjoy the process of working with the watercolour medium to create fine detail. My portfolio is ever expanding and many of my paintings are available as tutorials – both written and video. Take a look on my channels, and you may see this painting being created, maybe even have a go yourself!
Thank you for browsing my work, and I look forward to hearing from you.
