The Great Blue Heron is very similar to our UK Grey Heron, but with subtle differences, and obviously a lot larger! They can stand up to an impressive 1.4 meters tall, that’s around 4.5 feet, and are very much a North American species, but do wander further south, particularly in the winter. They can live around fresh and saltwater, where they will pretty much eat anything that they can grab with their lightening fast beak.

Packaging & Materials
I have used 100% cotton watercolour paper and the finest brushes to produce the tiny details which bring this painting to life.
The painting will be carefully wrapped in cellophane and protected with additional packing. I aim for my originals to arrive with you in the same condition that they left me. I use the Royal Mail’s ‘Signed for Next Day’ or ‘International Tracked’ service.

I am a full time professional artist based in North Devon in the United Kingdom. Specialising in wildlife – animals, birds, insects and botanical studies, I love to capture the life within my paintings.
