Description

Original Painting of a Northern Cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis) by Wildlife Artist & Online Art Tutor Paul Hopkinson

The Northern Cardinal is found in eastern and central North America, and the bright red plumage of the male isn’t likely to be overlooked! So if you’ve seen one, you will know you have seen one, and as they don’t migrate and they don’t moult, they can be seen looking the same, all year round. They readily visit bird feeders, where they aren’t too fussy, and like many birds are more than happy with sunflower seeds. Leave a bit of undergrowth around your garden and you may get them nesting too.

Painting Dimensions
