Description

An original pen and watercolor wash study, completed with incredible attention to detail, in an illustrative realistic style

As the Orange-winged Parrot’s Latin name (Amazona amazonica ) suggests, this bird originates from South America. The wings are orange underneath, so this colour can be seen when they are in flight. This bird nests in trees, laying three or four white eggs, which the female will incubate for about 26 days. The chicks take another 60 days to reach an age at which they can fledge.
