Description
Original Watercolour Red Panda Painting – Realistic Illustration Artwork
The Red Panda’s Latin name – Ailurus fulgens dates back to 1825, when a French zoologist first discovered the animal. He named it Ailurus meaning cat, and fulgens meaning fire coloured. These days Red Panda numbers have significantly decreased, and in the wild they can only be found in the Eastern Himalayas and South-west China. A mainly nocturnal animal, they are most active at dawn and dusk, but keep your eyes to the sky, as they like to be high up in the trees.
