Garden Bird Art Tutorials, Learn to Paint in Watercolour – Goldcrest PDF Lesson

This is an instant PDF download, you could start painting this Goldcrest in a matter of minutes.  You don’t even need to wait for the post to arrive!  You will receive a 28 page PDF document.  Set out in the same way as the tutorials I write for magazines.  However, you get lots more large photos of the different stages.

This little Goldcrest is part of a montage of 5 birds, you can paint it on its own or as part of the group of five birds.

During this tutorial you will learn how to work on quite a small scale.  We will be applying washes and will also add the fine detail to bring the bird to life.  In addition we will think about softening detail to give a more realistic feel.  Finally, we will of course be finishing off with some watercolour white highlights.  All this alongside a range of watercolour techniques and styles.

Go on, give it a go, Goldcrests are very quick and this little one may fly off soon!

Downloadable lessons enable you to work at your own speed, you can dip in and out of the content, you can spend time studying the fine details and practise the various techniques as often as you like.

Have fun with this lesson, take your time and let me know how you get on. Try printing off the last few pages which have the larger versions of the step by step photos for additional help.
